Mornings can be difficult, especially with a family. Having to wake your kids up and get them ready for school can be a mess, especially when you must get ready yourself. However, there are some tips that you can use to get your family into a routine and get the day started on the right note.

Lay Clothes Out the Night Before

Mornings can be very stressful because there is a lot you must do in a little amount of time. To relieve some stress from your mornings, you should lay your clothes out the night before. Also, if you have kids then you should lay their clothes out for them as well. Taking a couple minutes each night to do this can make your life so much easier in the morning. Not having to worry about finding a pair of socks, or having to pick out clothes for your kids, can save so much time. It can also save a lot of stress because you will have one less thing you need to do each morning.

Make Breakfast Easy

Breakfast can be a struggle when you are trying to hurry out the door to make sure you are on time to work, and your kids are on time to school. Therefore, you should try and make breakfast as easy as possible. However, making breakfast easy should still mean that it is healthy. Pop Tarts, or cereal, is an extremely easy way to feed your kids breakfast. However, those foods are not the best way to fuel your body. Things like fruit are good for the body and will give your kids enough energy throughout the day. Easy breakfast foods such as apples, bananas and toast with peanut butter, can be a great way to feed your kids in the morning.

These foods are also great for you, but you may also need some caffeine to get you through the day. For example, Kona coffee is a great way to get your caffeine fix in the morning. If you like dark roast coffee, then this is the one for you. It emulates the taste of dark chocolate, hazelnut and graham cracker cookies. Give this coffee a try the next time you have a cup. You can find many lists of healthy breakfast ideas that are fit for busy mornings.

Get Ready Before You Wake Your Kids

Getting your kids ready can be a hassle in the morning because they do not have the same urgency as you. Also, if it is difficult to get out of bed in the morning this can stop you from getting ready. Therefore, you should take some time to get ready each morning before you wake your kids. When you are all ready to go then it is one less thing you have to worry about. It will also allow you to do other things for your kids such as get their backpacks ready for school or make them breakfast. While you may have to sacrifice a little sleep, it will be worth it when you are able to have an easy stress-free morning.

Stay Calm

Staying calm may be the most important tip of them all. When you start to get stressed out your family will notice. When your family notices you are getting stressed out, they will start to stress out. This will cause a chain reaction of a ton of stress throughout your entire family’s morning. If you follow the previous tips and stay organized, then you should have no problem staying calm.

Remember that having a good morning is a great way to start a productive day. Getting your family ready for their day can be a tough task, so make sure that you give yourself plenty of time to get you and your family ready for the day.
