Many of us dream of having that perfect beach body, but many of us also are far too lazy to drag ourselves to the gym 4 times a week to get it. If you are one of these people who wants to get fit but are lazy, then we have some good news for you. You can still stay fit without spending half of your time in the gym lifting weights! Here are some of the ways you can still stay fit without too much effort.
Small reps
If you are truly lazy and hate the thought of spending half an hour doing push-ups and squats, just lower your reps! Instead of doing 30 push-ups, bring it down to 10. If you stick to 10s then you will never get bored and you will still be able to keep your body toned throughout the week. If you start to find 10 reps too easy, move up to 12 and keep going until you are doing as many as you can.
Stand up
One of the most damaging things for our bodies is inactivity. If you want to stay healthy even when you work in an office all day, you can try standing up and walking around for 2 minutes every hour. This just helps the blood keep flowing around your body and can also strengthen your heart.
Walk
Take the time to walk somewhere every day. Even if you only walk to the shop for your sandwich, it can be incredibly beneficial for your body without you going out to the gym or going for a run. Walking is one of the best all body workouts to do and it doesn’t take too much effort to do. If your work is within walking distance, you could walk there each day and this will act as a great bit of exercise for the day!
Stay at home
If you don’t like the idea of going to the gym and working out in front of strangers, you will be glad to know that you don’t have to. Even if you buy yourself Indoor Training Bikes or a treadmill for your home, you can get a good cardio workout done without having to switch off the TV for a second. You can enjoy your privacy and the comfort of your own home and follow workout videos on YouTube such as XHIIT Daily. They will be 15 minute long sessions you can do as you watch your favourite TV program and it will keep you fit without having to travel.
Small bursts
You don’t have to spend an hour on a workout for it to be effective, in fact, it has been proven in many different studies that it is better for us to workout at high intensity for a smaller length of time. It means that if you can force yourself to work hard for 15 minutes, you can actually have a more effective workout than an hour spent in the gym flitting between machines.
