There are many websites like that have some great deals on camping gears.  You will need a few essentials that include a tent, some sleeping bags and a good lantern to light up those often-dark nights.  Once you have all the gear you need, you can pack up the family and hit the trail!  Camping with the family is a great way to bond with them, and if you have kids, they will love spending the night in the great outdoors.

You Can Do It the Backyard

Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a hotel room, you can go camping for free in your own backyard.  Even though you will be steps away from your house, camping in the backyard is really fun, and you will be able to experience nature without the need to leave home.  There are many fun things to do while backyard camping including roasting marshmallows, playing games and even telling ghost stories. This is why children of all ages enjoy camping, and they get really excited when they learn they are going.

In every state in the nation, there are state-owned parks that allow camping. Many of these parks only charge a small entrance fee and a small fee for the camping spot. The best part is you will often have running water, electricity, a picnic table and a fire ring at your site. This type of camping is great for those with young children or those who simply don’t want to get too far off the beaten trail. There will be other campers in the area, and you will not have to worry about getting lost in the wilderness. This means you don’t need to have any special survival skills to enjoy nature at its finest. As an added bonus, many of these state parks have other fun things to do.  Some have areas where you can fish, they often have hiking trails, and some even have playgrounds for your children to enjoy.  

Camping is a very affordable way to enjoy a vacation without having to spend a lot of money. There are ample camping opportunities in every state, and you can even go in your own backyard.
