I’ve rounded up some fun and easy DIY Christmas crafts that will spice up your home for the holidays and help to make it a little more festive. These DIY Christmas Crafts are not only quick and cute, they’re very inexpensive to make and can be done, for the most part, with craft supplies that you probably already have on hand.
1. DIY Snow Globe
What you need:
- Mason jar
- Fake snow
- Styrofoam balls
- Small twigs
- Sharpie
- Felt
To make the snowman start off by sticking two Styrofoam balls together and glue twigs to their sides for the illusion of its hands. Now place felt at the top of the lid and stick the snowman on it. You can also draw some snowflakes on the back of the mason jar and then pour fake snow inside it. Now just put the lid back on and turn the mason jar upside down and you have your snow globe ready to be placed on the mantel.
2. Chalkboard sign
What you need:
- Flat wood
- Chalkboard paint
- Tape
- Paint brush
- Chalk
Start off by taping the edges of the wood so that you have a clean line when you remove the tape. Paint the wood with two coats of chalkboard paint and let it dry overnight. Once it’s dry you can write whatever message you want on it. To give it a Christmas feel draw snowflakes on it. This is a fun way to add holiday cheer to your house and the best part is that you can change the message whenever you want to fit whatever time of the year it is.
3. Colorful Pinecones
What you need:
- Pinecones
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Cinnamon(optional)
- Glitter
This is a very easy craft idea. All you need to do is to paint the pinecones with the color you want and if you want the pinecones to be sparkly then you can add glitter as well. Place the finished pinecones in a bowl, glass jar or vase.
4. Tinsel tree
What you need:
- Styrofoam
- Tinsel
- Bells
- Hot glue
You can make tinsel trees in different colors and sizes and put them all around your house. Start off by wrapping the tinsel around Styrofoam and hot glue it as you place it. Stick the bells to finish it off and that’s it. You have your tinsel tree ready.
