The Pasta Shoppe

Okay, so maybe its because I just ate a big bowl of Peace, Love and Happiness Pasta but I’ve got groovy, peace and far out on my mind. These words just come out when you are cooking and eating pasta as cool as this! (Recipe Below)

I’m really excited about the box I received from The Pasta Shoppe! In addition to my Peace,Love & Happiness pasta I received the following goodies for review:

pasta shoppe assortment

I literally fell in love with this brand! The pastas are cute and they taste great! The soups and chilis are very wasy to prepare and are a great way to keep something easy on hand! Plus, The Pasta Shoppe is a company that you can trust, they hand make their pasta in small batches and they offer a top quality Fundraising program (more about that later).

See the package of Spinach Basil Garlic Angel Hair Pasta in the picture above? Can you say Heaven in a box? This is one of the Pasta Shoppe’s newest creations and its A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Plus, if you cook it just right it stays in the nest shape it came in- what kid wouldn’t eat green pasta if it was in the shape of a nest on their plate? Here’s what the Pasta Shoppe says about this heavenly creation:

“At The Pasta Shoppe, we’re constantly using our noodle, and our latest love is a delicate specialty product we call Petite Pasta Nests. The manufacturing process is labor intensive, but the result is delicious! Tender sheets of homemade pasta are fed into a specialized cutter, creating light and fluffy noodles, which we then nestle into beautiful angel hair nests. When cooked, the texture and taste is similar to fresh pasta.”

I’m using my noodle too. Thinking about additional ways to create magnificent pasta dishes with pasta from The Pasta Shoppe. I can’t wait to see what I come up with for the Halloween pasta- I’m thinking of a vinegar and oil based dressing (or maybe even Italian dressing) with diced ham, cubes of cheese and black olives. Okay, well bring on October! I’m ready to make this now!

They offer both brochure sales and online fundraising programs. There is something in the brochure for everyone from college football fans, to holiday pasta shapes, cheesy pasta, soup and chili mixes and of course, tons of other fun shapes- cheerleaders need to raise money? Peace, Love & Happiness Pasta Salad

peace pasta

This is a simple, easy “macaroni” salad recipe that is a great side! I used the Peace, Love & Happiness Pasta  from the Pasta Shoppe because I liked the mix of colors it gave me in contrast with the peas!

Simply cook and drain one pound of pasta. Rinse under cold water. Drain well. Mix in 3/4 cup Mayo or Miracle Whip, 1 can of drained tuna and a small bag of partially thawed frozen peas. Season to taste. Chill. Eat. Enjoy!

Yeahhhh, I know you want some of this pasta too!! The Pasta Shoppe has graciously agreed to give one winner their collegiate pasta of choice as well as a goodie box of seasonal pastas! The total value of the giveaway is $30 but really, with pasta this cute- who’s counting?

  1. I’d like to win the South Carolina Gamecocks Pasta Salad so I can give it to my friend who is a HUGE GIGANTIC fan of the Gamecocks 🙂

But, if I had the choice of any of their pastas to pick for myself, it would have to be the cat lovers pasta!

    1. I think it’s a bit pricier than traditional pasta but I wouldn’t use these every day. If its a big heavy sauce, it’s going to hide the pasta anyway. I would say these are great for special occasions- like game night or for potlucks and parties.

  2. These are so cool! I would get either the Texas A&M one for my sister in laws or my father/mother inlaw!

  3. Syracuse Orange Pasta Salad—I would note that Syracuse has changed conferences…they have them in the Big East but now they are in the ACC
