Heat dinner rolls as package directs; serve with butter if desired. I happened to have some boneless chicken breast and used that in place of the whole chicken. The presentation was really nice…

Loving eMeals

The recipe above is from my Classic eMeals subscription. I juggle life with three kids, an old house, this blog and three jobs. I’m busy! I recently admitted that we’ve been relying way too much on takeout as I’e scrambled to get dinner on the table. A funny thing happens when you order out often; after awhile, the food simply sucks. The options become redundant. The flavors are boring. Nothing beats a home cooked meal. But, time, time is not my friend.

I remember the days when I planned my grocery list based on what was on sale and what I had coupons for. Armed with list in hand I would go to the grocery store and stock up on everything we needed, a possibly didn’t need. My cupboards would overflow, my freezer became a puzzle trying to fit it all in. Lately, I had been shopping on an as needed basis and finding myself cooking good, hearty, homemade meals far less often than I should.  Then I met eMeals. This program changed everything for me. Not only did it work with my local grocery store to identify sales, it matched and provided coupons, created my shopping list and presented me with a week’s worth of dinner recipes. Heaven just sang loud and clear in my ear!! Thank you, thank you, thank you eMeals!!!!

The list is so straight forward I can even hand it to my husband and have him bring home exactly what I need. My husband happens to work 45 minutes away where the closest grocery store doubles coupons. Armed with list and associated coupons, he becomes my hero officially at least once per week! The recipes are easy to follow but turn out an amazingly delicious, balanced meal. We can take turns cooking. The kids can even help out with some of the prep!  Sounds too good to be true? I thought so too. But honestly, I am L-O-V-I-N-G the organization, the plan, the simplicity of it all.
