This recipe is for a BIG 7-Qt Crockpot full! Feel free to cut it in half for an average family-size meal!
2 Heads cabbage
2 lbs ground beef
2 cups long grain rice, uncooked
1 can spaghetti sauce, divided
1 tbs Italian Seasoning
1 tbs minced garlic (I use jarred)
salt & pepper to taste
Core one cabbage. Cut into one 1″ pieces, breaking up the layers. Place in the bottom of the crock pot.
In a mixing bowl, combine rice, ground beef, just under half of the can of sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt & pepper. Press into a layer on top of the cabbage in the crock pot.
Cut the remaining cabbage like the first one and place it on top of the meat/rice layer.
Top with remaining sauce (try to cover all the cabbage a bit). Sprinkle with your favorite shredded cheese if desired.
Cook on low 8-10 hours. (Don’t forget to plug the crockpot in like I did earlier today!!)
Watch my new Vine video which I saved to my phone, edited with SocialCam and uploaded to YouTube!!
Vine is a lot of fun but it only allows short videos. It’s neat though, because you record short sequential “pictures” and it only records when you hold your finger on the screen. You can even do cute little animation-type clips! It’s new by Twitter.

Do you brown ground beef
For this recipe I did not brown the meat first. Just mixed it up with the other ingredients and tossed it into the crockpot.
