[dropcap]T[/dropcap]rying to find great apps for moms or kids can be hard with so many available. That’s why I’ve partnered with Apparoo – the app discovery service for busy moms. Each week I’ll be sharing the ‘Apparoo App of the Week’ with you.
Very often they’ve negotiated to bring you great paid apps at heavily discounted rates and sometimes even free. I’m very excited about this and welcome your feedback on the apps you decide to install.

What are some of your favorite kids apps?
What a great way to find apps that my Grandson would be interested in. When he comes to visit sometimes we just don’t have enough planned to keep him busy, or when I am preparing dinner,.. he gets bored. I could find the perfect app to keep him busy here.
This would be a great way to keep him entertained when you need a few minutes to get something done!
Oh my boys are going to LOVE that Rio app! They loved the first movie and are super excited about the new one coming out.
Rio is so fun and cute! Glad to hear you’ll be giving it a try!
This is really a fantastic idea! My kids are always hunting for apps, and it’s so hard to find appropriate ones for their ages.
It really saves time on the hunt. I like that they are tested and appropriate for little ones.
Some of the storybook apps out ther are great. My youngest loves apps with Thomas the train and Chuggington.
My boys were both hugely obsessed with Thomas the Train. My oldest was a fan into his preteen years!
Oh this is cute – I should share this to my niece.
That’s a great idea! I bet she will love it!
Oh, that’s cute! Cuter than “angry” birds, right?! LOL
Wayyyy cuter! And maybe a little more child friendly? At least there is a learning component to it.
Rio is our fave! I am going to download that app for little one She will love it (Kim)
Looks like a great app! My daughter really like the Rio movie. I’m sure she would love the app too.

Read and play apps are so much fun! They really draw my daughter in and make it a lot of fun for her.Amber E.
It amazes me when I see really little kids who are able to turn on a device, navigate to and interact with their games. This one is a great one for the littles!
Rio was a cute movie. I’m sure that kids would love this!
I agree. So fun and exciting! I love when a movie that my kids loved is used for inspiration for learning!
I’m going to look for the Rio app. I was just thinking how that would probably be a good movie for my toddler. Thanks for sharing this!
I’m glad you found it helpful! Let me know how it works out!
That is a great app. It’s an app to find apps? Love it! I am planning to watch Rio 2
It’s more like a web service that sends out weekly newsletters. They do the searching and testing plus they usually negotiate a few days for free downloads after they release an app suggestion. Definitely helps save time searching for really good apps for the kids!
That would be fun! The bright colors, the happy vibe and the music of Rio is great!
Isn’t it though? I believe in color therapy and it’s effect on moods. This just yells out, “Hey, I’m fun!”
We have yet to see the movies but I am still sure my youngest would love this app. He is more familiar with using my phone than I am. Thank you for sharing a fun learning app (love when they are learning apps and not just games!)
I agree on the learning piece. I definitely prefer that even my teenagers get into games with some kind of learning feature.
Rio was a pretty awesome movie. Apparoo sounds like an amazing app, definitely one go download.
I like that the book is narrated. I can’t wait to see RIo 2 in the movie theater.
Movie themed games are always fun. My kids are too young for this but I love bejewled like games
