Putting a small business together isn’t an easy thing to do. At the very least you’ve got a lot of paperwork and hiring to do, and that’s why it’s so easy to make a mistake at this early stage. You’ve got a lot to juggle, and you can make some errors along the way that end up impacting your profit line later on.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom – you can take the time now to rebrand and fix these issues. Maybe your first marketing campaign didn’t take off? Maybe you hate the look of your logo? Don’t worry; here are our tips for rectifying these branding problems and making something more of your small business.

Ramp Up Your Digital Presence

The first thing to do is create some hype around your rebrand. So, get onto your social media and your website, and make sure you have an announcement set to go. It can be something simple like a banner that reads ‘Something’s Coming…’, or it can be a series of posts detailing what you’re doing to make your business better – it’s up to you!

At the same time, you need to commit to monitoring your online channels more often. Get out there and make some noise, otherwise customers just won’t pay attention! Get a set of hashtags together, plan out a content schedule, and make sure your new name and/or logo is featured in every single post.

Tidy Up Your Physical Presence

If you’ve got a storefront to take care of, or you’re working out of your own office building (even if that’s at home!), it’s time to do a physical rebranding. Cleaning up your image can occur in more than one way, after all, and it’s always good to set an example on your street.

Indeed, investing in commercial pressure washing services is usually the first step here. Giving your brand a more complete and clean outside image is a great way to attract footfall, and to also provide a good cover photo for both your website and any information you provide Google with; if someone looks you up, they want to see a brand that’s clearly got it together!

Never Let Yourself Settle

Finally, if you’re ambivalent about your brand name and representation, it’s time to make a change. You don’t want to just let yourself settle into a business you’re not quite happy with, despite not knowing what to do differently – people will notice that your heart just isn’t in it.

And as a small business, it’s crucial that that passion and care for detail is evident in all the marketing you do. Head back to the drawing board, hire a new graphic designer, and see about filing for a name change. The more changes you make, the more you’ll actually like what you do, and that’ll be clear in your new energy for the work involved.

Rebranding your business takes a bit of effort, but it’s always worth it!
