We all love to use marketing tools. They make things faster and more efficient. If we could implement half of the speed and value from AI in recruitment into our marketing, then we would be off to a great start.

But what about if you could try out a lot of marketing tools for free? Who doesn’t enjoy having a lot of toys to play with? Well, there is only one way to find out what is going to work best for you, and it isn’t guessing.

Here is a list of free marketing software that you should try out at least once.

Design

Something funky, eyecatching, easy, and fast. Design work can be expensive and time-consuming… unless you are using Canva. It has a lot of built-in templates that you can save and reuse once you have your branding down. It is easy to create tall images for Pinterest, everything you’ll need for twitter and even eBook and email templates.

Website Optimization

Google – obviously. Hotjar – interesting and pretty powerful. You can see how people are interacting with blog posts, as in – how much of the post they are reading. Do they click anything on the page? With the right information, you can shorten your posts, add images in better places, and know exactly where to put your sales pitch in a post.

Reporting

If you are still pulling all your reports manually, then you should check out Simply Measured. It has so many options it might just blow your mind. You do have to give them a follow or a mention in order to get the report for free – but that is a small price to pay. They have all 6 big platforms covered and can report on anything from content to user reports.

CRM

You need to stay in touch with your customers, now and in the future. Managing their details and quick access will really help. Hubspot has CRM pretty much covered in their free package, you have to be sure before you start that you aren’t going to want any serious automation features – because the price shoots up. Mailchimp has a great CRM with an email heavy slant, but a great starting point.

Testing

You have used your website a million times, and you know what it is for, and where everything is – your average internet cruising Joe Bloggs has no idea. So Peek hands your website over to a tester who will give feedback on it. You will get a free 5-minute video of someone using your site, and that 5 minutes of insight will change a lot of what you do. You can run a few tests a month for nothing, so you’ll be able to make changes and work on the information you are given.

Social Media

Of course, the big daddy of social media automation is Buffer. They are the one-stop-shop for freelancers, bloggers, and teams. They have a substation paid option, but you are looking for the free one here. Schedule 10 posts per day for each network, it will also help you work out when the best time to share is. It is easy and forever free.

Marketing doesn’t have to be expensive, but it does have to be good, and there are plenty of free tools to help you do it.
