Residents from area towns will receive a buy one admission get one admission free offer to Winter Skate at Patriot Place presented by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care during “Town Pride Afternoons” Mondays through Thursdays until Feb. 26.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.  – Residents from nearly 20 area towns are invited to show their town pride while ice skating in the shadow of Gillette Stadium at Winter Skate at Patriot Place presented by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Those who wear their favorite town gear (t-shirts, hoodies/sweatshirts, hats, etc.) will receive a buy one admission get one admission free offer on Mondays-Thursdays now through the end of the season (Feb. 26).

Residents can enjoy the Town Pride skate offer 4-6:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 4-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The Town Pride skate offer is not valid during school breaks and vacations or holidays and skate rentals are not included. Towns eligible for the Town Pride skate are:

LEARN TO SKATE AT WINTER SKATE PRESENTED BY HARVARD PILGRIM HEALTH CARE

Outdoor ice rink at Patriot Place is offering ice skating lessons for all ages on Sundays in February. Pre-registration is required.

New to ice skating, but looking for some winter fun? Patriot Place is offering a learn to skate program at Winter Skate presented by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. The program teaches the basics of ice skating to all ages and will be held every Sunday in February from 10-10:50 a.m. Pre-registration is required (registration link: www.skatingregistration.com/Registration). Cost is $50.

Warm clothing (mittens, water repellent pants, jacket or snowsuit) and helmets are required attire to participate in the program. Skate rentals are available, beginning at size 9.

ABOUT WINTER SKATE

Winter Skate, located next to CBS Scene Restaurant & Bar, offers public skating Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4-6:30 p.m.; Tuesday from 4-5:30 p.m.; Friday from 4-11 p.m.; Saturday and all school holidays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Winter Skate will be open until late February. Concessions presented by Dunkin’ Donuts and bathrooms are available. Parking is free.

The 60-by-140-foot, professionally-maintained ice surface located outside of CBS Scene Restaurant and Bar is specifically designed for recreational skating and features an observation deck for non-skaters. The surface is large enough to accommodate beginners and experts alike, hockey and private events.

Standard skating price is $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under and seniors 65 and over. Harvard Pilgrim members receive $2 off admission by showing their membership card. On-site skate rentals are $4. Full-season passes for families are $125. Individual season passes are $75 for adults and $60 for children and seniors.
