Upcycled Fall Crafts

I’ve been feeling pretty inspired lately! Now that I’m homeschooling my 14 year old daughter, we’ve built in some time on Fridays for crafting fun! Below are some of our Upcycled Fall Crafts including a fall wine cork wreath, a Halloween wine cork wreath, a wine cork pumpkin painted with an orange chalk marker and fall wine bottle vases decorated with the Chalkola marker. We love the chalk markers to decorate wine bottle crafts because they can be wiped clean and reused again for the next season. The vases are fun and easy with the chalk pens, a stencil and some dollar stove seasonal flowers.

Chalkola Markers

Just as we were collecting wine corks and bottles from friends and family I received an email from Chalkola Arts  asking if I would like to review their products. They carry Liquid Chalk Markers – Pack of 10 neon color pens. For Chalkboard, Window, Labels, Bistro, Glass, Whiteboards – 6mm Bullet Tip and Platinum Chalk Markers – 15mm 3 in 1 Nib with 28g Ink (Lasts 4x longer than others) – Pack of 8 neon pen – Used by Teachers, Kids, Artist on Chalkboard, Window, Bistro. I immediately knew how we’d put them to use! They are also generously offering 20% off their markers for my readers. for the 15mm markers used code CHK20OFF and for the 6mm pens use code CHALK20A.

They are super easy to use and wipe up nicely especially when you accidentally color the coffee table with them (thanks, Kendra! haha). You just need a wet cloth to erase and these are kid safe. They are brightly colored and work on all non porous surfaces. I am definitely going to need to order a few more packs because we’ll be using these for lots of things!

Chalkola Arts is a small, family-run business so I’m really happy to support them and help spread the word. You can also connect with them on their website, Instagram and Facebook

They also wanted to make sure I told you two very important points about chalk markers:

1) The Markers are used on Non Porous Surface only (So its best to test a small area)

2) Chalk markers as a medium have high density Chalk Ink, due to which New markers take 2 to 3 mins prep time – Once used the ink flows  smoothly.

On the second point, I certainly learned this was very true! But honestly, shake, dot and dot and dot the tip and eventually you will see the color come down and then its easy as pie!

Are you doing any upcycled fall crafts? Do you think you will be able to use these fantastic chalk markers?
