I don’t often indulge in beauty products but there are a few things that I really love. The following are some great products that I was asked to review and I’m sharing my thoughts here. All opinions are my own.
Valentia Even Glow Serum Vitamin C 20%
Valentia Even Glow Serum Vitamin C contains a proprietary blend of organic and natural ingredients to compliment the 20% Vitamin C base, leading to a powerful antioxidant skin treatment. First, this stuff smells fantastic and super refreshing! Orange juice and green tea are immediately recognized followed by the subtle smell of rosehip oil.
Because I suffer from a hormonal imbalance thanks to PCOS I noticed a discoloration on my upper lip early last summer. As it turned out, the sun really makes it much more noticeable – and embarrassing! I spoke with my friend who runs a great day spa and she mentioned that she could do an acid peel to help but the price was a
bit (ton) more than I could or was willing to pay.
While the Valentia Even Glow Serum hasn’t made the discoloration go away it has lessened the effect and it is improving. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now so I hope that this benefit only continues. I have also noticed some improvement in the fine lines around my eyes – a serious sore spot for me!
VMD Signature Collection Stretch Mark Body Cream
To be completely honest, after two pregnancies and a lifetime of weight gain and weight loss I’m not even trying to “fix” my stretch marks. But, my 15 year old son has very intense stretch marks on his back from growing so quickly last year. They are embarrassing to him and he actually used a gift card to buy some cocoa butter last winter because someone told him it would help. It didn’t. When this came in he immediately grabbed a bottle and was really excited to give it a try. He has noticed that they have faded from their very bright red to a much less visible color.
I personally adore this as an all-over moisturizer. It is so nourishing to my skin!
ProCure Bruise Remedy Gel
As you might recall, I’m a big fan of ProFoot products. Their foot care line is unlike any other I’ve tried. They’ve also got a great line called ProCure.
The Procure Bruise Remedy Gel can help reduce swelling, fading of bruises, and even discoloration – many of the problems our feet can face while working out or for the person on the go! If there’s one thing you might not know about me from my online presence but would if you spent five minutes with me in person, its that I’m a clutz. I bang into everything primarily from rushing around. Bruises happen pretty frequently and usually when I notice them I have no idea exactly where they come from. I’ve also got a few spider veins on my upper legs that I’d like to see disappear.
While this product won’t make your bruises disappear overnight they really do help with fading and overall shorten the time period.
Procure bruise remedy gel fades away discoloration caused by bruising and spider veins. The soothing botanical-rich formula contains Arnica Montana, MSM and aloe. The tube has a soft foam applicator which means no touch or mess. For best results, apply 2-3 times per day.
- Fade away discoloration from bruises
- Dramatically helps improve the appearance of spider veins
- Botanical-rich formula contains all natural Arnica Montana
- Non-greasy, fast absorbing gel
- Gentle “no-touch” applicator
MaskIT – Keep Your Cycle Under Wraps
Thankfully, I no longer have to worry about a cycle at all (hysterectomy). But, I’ve got a teenage daughter who has been extremely embarrassed by the whole scenario. I won’t embarrass her further with the details but I will say we were both really pleased with MaskIT! MaskIT provides a discreet and easy method of disposal for used feminine hygiene products. They are super easy to use and really inexpensive! Plus, they are earth friendly since they can be aerobically composted.
EatSmart Precision MaxView Digital Bathroom Scale
Okay so this one doesn’t fit into a beauty bag. But, I love this scale. The EatSmart Precision MaxView Digital Bathroom Scale is accurate and super easy to use. It shows your weight in pounds or kilograms and the extra large digital display is awesome. It weighs up to 400 lbs. I find that stepping on a scale every day helps me in my weight loss journey.
The Japanese Konjac Sponge
The Japanese Konjac Sponge Pure White Facial Cleanser has been like a gift from the heavens. I love it. It cleans wonderfully and leaves my face feeling soft and renewed. But, the best part about this is how much my teenage daughter loves it. To be completely honest, getting her in the routine of washing her face every morning and night has been a difficult (to say the least) task. But, she was so excited about this and has been using it regularly! I feel confidant that she’s not hurting her skin since the Pure White Konjac Puff is suitable for people of all ages and skin types including babies!
The Japanese Konjac Sponge is well-known to remove dirt, oil, blackheads, dead cells while gently exfoliates skin leaving a healthy and radiant skin beneath. It contains positive minerals and antioxidant ingredients that help nourish and smooth skin naturally. The sponge can be used with or without cleanser. Thanks, Tomoson.com
Bella and Bear Mighty Eyelash Curler
The first thing I noticed about the Bella and Bear Eyelash Curler is the box. It’s absolutely adorable! It’s got that retro fun feeling to it! The eyelash curler itself is really great. No pinching and it really gets every last lash. You really don’t have to press down very hard to get the look you want.
I used the curler and applied two coats of mascara for some seriously sexxayyy lashes on a recent date night with the hubs. He kept comment on how pretty my eyes looked!
